Wright USA Announces Launch of World Wide Professional Liability Plan

Wilmington, DE, July 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Wright USA announces the availability of a professional liability product tailored to United States government employees with international exposures. The product – branded as the World Wide Plan – will respond to any allegation of a covered Wrongful Act – even if the suit is brought outside of the United States. Wright is considered the premier provider of professional liability insurance for Federal Employees, a position it has held for nearly half a century.

“Our agency has always been sensitive to the ever-changing nature of the types of liability exposures faced by Federal Employees,” says Glenn Clark, President of Wright USA. “Feedback received from various Agencies and individual policyholders indicated a growing concern over the potential of legal actions being brought from outside the United States. In collaboration with our insurance carrier-partner, we developed a unique policy form designed to fully address these concerns. We have branded the new coverage as the World Wide Plan.”

“Our newest product offering includes other unique policy features in addition to the international coverage aspect,” continues Glenn. "The policy provides a more robust limit of liability ($2,000,000) to cover indemnity and claims expenses arising from allegations of covered wrongful acts brought against the Insured. In the event the U.S. Department of Justice declines to defend an Insured, the World Wide Plan will provide up to $200,000 in legal expense coverage. This coverage applies Civil and Criminal Proceedings, as well as both formal and informal investigations initiated by the Federal Government against an Insured.”

The Worldwide Plan is underwritten through an insurance company rated “A-” (“Excellent”) by A.M. Best. This rating is reflective of their carrier partner’s financial stability and claims-paying ability.
