Gateway Rehab & Wellness Center and Morning Song Farm

Dr. Rafa remarked "It’s a pleasure to open our box each week and see what’s being harvested locally at its peak. The avocados this week were enormous. Of course the recipes help! I can’t wait to try baked Kale."

Misson Veijo, CA, July 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Mission Viejo’s Gateway Rehab & Wellness Center is excited to announce the newest addition to their center’s health promoting efforts: the center has become a Mission Viejo drop point for Morning Song Farm, a small family, organic fruit and veggie farm. Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA, is a way for individuals, families, and businesses to connect directly with a farm, while receiving weekly boxes of fresh fruit and just harvested vegetables.

CSA “share”-holders enjoy Morning Song Farm’s fabulous fruit and veggies all week (if it lasts that long), experiencing the variations and tasty treats of California’s seasons. Additionally, members cite a sense of community involvement with the source of their food, as they meet and greet fellow subscribers at the Center, as well as potlucks, recipe exchanges, and volunteer farm days.

Dr. Rafa remarked “It’s a pleasure to open our box each week and see what’s being harvested locally at its peak. The avocados this week were enormous. Of course the recipes help! I can’t wait to try baked Kale. As alternative health care providers, we want to get the word out that eating fresh, local, organic stuff is an important step, and can be a lot of fun.” “Half the battle is knowing what to do with all the produce that’s available locally, so we email our clients with recipes and super easy preparation ideas each week. Barbequed kale, broccoli sprout spring rolls, refreshing sorbets only take minutes to make,” enthuses Farmer Donna Buono.
