Opening Doors at Derby College

Derby, United Kingdom, July 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Enrolment at Derby College starts on Wednesday September 1 with a wider range of courses and campus choices than ever.

The Roundhouse vocational campus celebrates its first anniversary this September and has been joined this year by the Ilkeston and Heanor campuses which have also been refurbished and are the base for a wide range of vocational courses from art and design to construction.

Broomfield Hall land-based campus is undergoing an extensive refurbishment programme over the summer with a new nursery, classroom and laboratory facilities and a café and shop for the new Food Hub due to open in the coming months.

The Johnson Building on Pride Park will also open for the first time for students in September with state of the art facilities for motor vehicle and sport students.

And the Joseph Wright Centre continues to go from strength to strength – offering a wide range of A level and creative arts courses at its stunning city centre building.

Derby College Principal David Croll said: “We are looking forward to welcoming thousands of new students to the College this September having spent the summer undergoing major refurbishments particularly at the Ilkeston and Broomfield Hall sites and creating a fantastic new centre of excellence in motor vehicle and sport at the Johnson Building.

“The success of The Roundhouse and Joseph Wright Centre show that students respond positively to well designed surroundings and 21st century learning facilities and rise to the challenges asked of them to achieve great things.”
