Doctors.net.uk Strengthens Pharmaceutical Team

New hires are set to support strong business growth at Doctors.net.uk during first half of 2010.

Oxford, United Kingdom, July 31, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Doctors.net.uk, the UK’s largest and most active online network of healthcare professionals, has strengthened its pharmaceutical team with two appointments. The new positions are in response to strong organic and new business growth across Doctors.net.uk’s pharmaceutical business.

Marie Pickford joins the team in a newly created client services director role and will be responsible for overseeing all pharma-sponsored communications and providing strategic client counsel. With 13 years of experience spanning the public and private healthcare sectors, Marie spent four years as a poisons information specialist, as well as undertaking roles at TVF and Elsevier. She joins Doctors.net.uk from CMPMedica, where she had responsibility for developing and managing its UK project portfolio.

Marie is joined by Ben Mansfield, in the role of business development manager. Ben has more than 10 years experience of delivering multi-channel promotional and educational campaigns for pharmaceutical brands including Schwarz Pharma and Janssen-Cilag. Immediately prior to joining Doctors.net.uk, Ben was responsible for digital strategy at specialist healthcare publisher, MGP, and he brings extensive expertise of delivering online campaigns to a wide range of healthcare professionals.

Carwyn Jones, head of the pharmaceutical business division at Doctors.net.uk, said: “As traditional routes to reaching doctors and other healthcare professionals continue to be challenged, more and more pharmaceutical companies are turning to Doctors.net.uk to deliver highly targeted, flexible and cost-effective online campaigns. These experienced additions to our team will help us keep pace with the strong growth in demand for Doctors.net.uk’s pharmaceutical business services.

“Marie and Ben have a wealth of expertise in delivering first class pharmaceutical communications campaigns and client service and I am delighted to welcome them to the team at this exciting time.”
