Dallas, TX, August 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Shermco Industries, a national provider of rotating apparatus and electrical power system testing, commissioning, repair, maintenance and training, recently began offering hands-on instructional courses at the company’s newly constructed 10,000-square-foot facility in Cedar Park, Texas.

Courses are designed to teach professionals across a broad range of industries, with varying degrees of experience, proper electrical safety procedures and techniques, as well as compliance requirements.

“The facility allows us to expand our training efforts, while also providing NETA-Accredited testing and engineering services to more companies throughout the region,” said Kevin Ewing, operations manager for Shermco Austin.

The Austin Training and Service Center is among Shermco’s latest expansion initiatives, which also includes the recent acquisition of Coastal Switchgear & Controls in Angleton, Texas, and an upcoming service center opening in Sweetwater, Texas.
