Development of Future Hoteliers

The Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa recently hosted three students from the British School of Bahrain, year 11 to a five day on the job training program.

Manama, Bahrain, August 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- “In line with the British School’s development course, the program was aimed to help students gain an insight to the hospitality industry and the working environment”, said Mr. Spicer, Coordinator from the British School Bahrain.

The five day program hosted by the Human Resources department of The Diplomat Radisson Blu, started off with a half day Orientation session, followed by an introduction to key department heads of the hotel.

During the course, the students spent time in each major department, understanding the operations and were even given a “hands on training in the Kitchen learning to make dishes as well as Housekeeping where they learned the art of bedmaking.”

On completion of their weeks work, a certificate ceremony was held in The Skylight Lounge of the hotel where each student was presented a certificate by the hotel’s general manager, Mr. Rick Erdos.
