Death Cat Entertainment Releases Trailer for "Saying Goodbye"

At long last, it’s finally here – the premiere of the Saying Goodbye trailer.

Columbia, SC, August 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Death Cat Entertainment is proud to announce the premiere of its trailer for the short film “Saying Goodbye.” Available for viewing at http://www.sayinggoodbyemovie.com, the trailer will be used to promote the film on various social media sites and other places around the internet.

To celebrate the trailer’s debut, Death Cat Entertainment is running a series of contests throughout the month of August on the movie’s website. Each week will feature a new contest with movie related prizes. The contests are open to anyone who wishes to participate – just stop by the website for all the details.

“The trailer has really started to take off,” said Brian Rish, who wrote and produced the film with his sister, Jocelyn Rish. “We’re getting traffic from all over the world including Japan, Germany, Great Britain and Australia.”

“Saying Goodbye” tells the story of Alma (played by Rebecca Koon), who arrives at a nursing home lost and depressed after losing her family unexpectedly. Eunice, a saucy fellow resident played by Edith Ivey from “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” befriends Alma and teaches her how to enjoy life again. Now years later, the nursing home’s mysterious cat predicts Eunice’s death, and Alma learns that having the chance to say goodbye doesn’t make loss any easier.

Once the film is completed, the Rishes will begin entering it in national and international film festivals. To get updates on the film’s journey, become a Facebook Fan at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Saying-Goodbye/119785993310

"Saying Goodbye" is a winner of the 2009 SC Film Commission Production Fund. The Rishes have been collaborating on this project with the University of South Carolina, Trident Technical College, local production company Genesis Creative and the SC Film Commission.

Filming took place last October at Agapé Senior in West Columbia, SC, where many residents and staff enjoyed being extras.
