World Television Nabs Four Nominations in Streaming Media Bible’s Readers’ Choice Awards

World Television nominated for 'best streaming services provider', 'best online video platform', 'best webcast platform' and 'best live webcast of 2010' in annual European competition.

London, United Kingdom, August 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- World Television, the leading video communications company for corporations and governments, is delighted to announce four nominations in Streaming Media magazine’s 2010 ‘Readers’ Choice Awards’.

As well as being nominated for best ‘Streaming Services Provider’ World Television has received nominations in the following categories:

- ‘Online Video Platform’ (Video360)

Video360 is World Television’s proprietary video communications platform, which allows its clients to store, manage, distribute and measure the effectiveness of their video and multimedia content. The platform auto-encodes into several formats – from web through to broadcast quality – stores, streams and pushes content via the required delivery channel to make the same video available in multiple languages, to multiple audiences, for multiple purposes.

- ‘Webcast Platform’ (StreamStudio)

World Television’s bespoke StreamStudio platform is one of the world’s most advanced and proven webcasting platforms. It is robust, flexible and handles high volumes of simultaneous viewers. StreamStudio provides complete customisation of the template and access to the latest technology, including live webcasting through social media and to iPhone, iPad, Blackberry and other mobile devices.

StreamStudio handles the full spectrum of live and on-demand solutions – from simple conference call and audio-only webcasts, through all-encompassing video webcasts, to audio and video podcasts and cellcasts for audiences on the move. It is trusted by some of the world’s most recognisable brands to deliver their webcasts reliably time and again.

- ‘Best Live Webcast of 2010’ (US Army)

Each June, United States military service members deployed to war zones are given the ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to watch their children graduate from DoDDSE (Department of Defense Dependents Schools Europe) high schools via the internet.

World Television webcasts these events live over four days, from 15 remote and highly secure military bases located across Europe, and provides on-demand streams and video podcasts within hours of each event’s conclusion.
