Origin Healthcare Solutions Formerly SSIMED’s Sixth Annual Golf Tournament Raises Over $22,500 to Benefit Connecticut Children’s Medical Center

Windsor, CT, August 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- This year’s Origin Healthcare Solutions formerly SSIMED’s sixth annual Charity Golf Tournament raised over $22,500 for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. The tournament was held at Wintonbury Hills Golf Course on Thursday, July 22nd with a field of 110 golfers.

“The tournament this year once again exceeded our expectations. The generosity of our sponsors and local businesses helped us raise over $22,500 which will be given to The Clinical Care Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders program at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. It is incredible how this not-for-profit hospital cares for more than 12,000 outpatient visits a year. We are proud to donate this money to them, which will further help our children,” said Frank Riccio, tournament chairman.

The winners for the best round were Don St. Onge, Dale Smith, Earl Semmelrock and Bob Tetreault. The best mixed round went to Gail McCarthy, Glenn Greenberg, Deborah Greenberg and Herb Jacobs. Neil Nordstrom and Terri Small had the longest drive and Stephen Briggs was closest to the pin.
