Hurricane Protection Event in New Orleans August 19th & 20th

The International Hurricane Protection Association will conduct its August Meeting with CEU Seminars, Panel Discussions, Tabletop Displays and Reception at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.

Lantana, FL, August 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The International Hurricane Protection Association (IHPA) has announced that it will conduct its August Meeting on August 19th and 20th at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. The two day event will feature seminars and panel discussions approved for continuing education through the International Code Council, the Louisiana State Board of Architectural Examiners and the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors.

The Meeting with luncheon will feature Guest Speaker Fred Malik, IBHS Fortified Program Manager who will present an overview of the Program which is accepted in Louisiana, AL, TX, SC, NC and other markets as a means of receiving mitigation credits on existing homes.

The CEU Seminars are presented by Mr. Joe Belcher, IHPA Code Consultant. The Day I Seminar is scheduled for Thursday August 19th and begins at 1:00 pm. The schedule for Friday August 20th begins at 7:30 am and includes Day II CEU Seminar and Panel Discussions with the IHPA Board of Directors and agency representatives from Louisiana and New Orleans. The HMGP and IMM Programs will be discussed.

The IHPA welcomes all members, guests and all those who have interest in hurricane protection, wind mitigation programs and devices and related building codes.

Approved protective systems and devices will be on display throughout the day. Dealers interested in tabletop space should contact the IHPA immediately.
