New Fiction Combines Fantasy Elements with Folklore, High Adventure, and Drama; Book by Marty Farnsworth and Romeo Eshalom, Published by Dog Ear Publishing

Peoria, AZ, August 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Prince Jappath of Dore is young, brave, and looking for adventure when he finds himself lost in the forest outside of his father’s kingdom. After what feels like a few weeks, Jappath wakes to find that 10 years have passed, and his homeland is in danger. He struggles to piece together his memories of the past decade as he prepares with his father’s army for impending war. Meanwhile, his father’s brother plots against him and the strange young woman who appears in Jappath’s dreams turns up to help with the battle. Who is this woman, and what happened while Jappath was away?

Merzapamad, Prince of Dore, published by Dog Ear Publishing, is part fantasy, part action-adventure story, with a healthy heaping of romance and humor. It is derived from Assyrian/Chaldean folktales, and it is richly imagined with colorful characters and exotic locales. The story moves quickly, and leaves the reader wanting more of the epic tale of the alluring royal family of Dore.

Marty Farnsworth turned to screenwriting after knee surgery made his previous career insupportable, and through screenwriting he met Romeo Eshalom. The two became friends, and Romeo’s retelling of the Assyrian/Chaldean folktales told to him by his grandfather in childhood inspired Marty to write this novel. Both men live in Phoenix with their families, and this is Marty’s first novel.
