Las Vegas, NV, August 14, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- The Spanish-speaking population is one of the fasting growing segments in the world, especially in the United States. In the United States, it is estimated that over 70% of Hispanic households speak Spanish as their primary form of communication at home. To serve this market, physicians can now offer hCG/Medical Weight Management Patient Resources to their Hispanic patients, in Spanish.
Also, given the "importance of communication between the health care provider and patient," and how "cultural and linguistic barriers often undermine adequate communication language can significantly impede communications between health practitioners and patients" (Díaz-Duque, 1989), it is imperative that all weight loss booklets, references, and other resources for Spanish speaking patients, be translated into Spanish.
The IAPAM recognizes the importance of providing clear information and instruction to patients involved in the IAPAM's Exclusive hCG Protocol, and therefore, to facilitate communication between physicians and their Hispanic patients, the IAPAM now offers doctors 'medical Spanish' translation of its key hCG Patient Guide:
IAPAM hCG Protocol Patient Guidebook: A Supplemental Guide for Patients Following the IAPAM hCG Weight Loss Protocol - Guía para el Paciente del Protocolo GCh de IAPAM: Un Guía Suplementario para Pacientes Siguiendo el Protocolo de Pérdida de Peso con GCh de IAPAM
After completing the IAPAM's hCG Physician Medical Weight Management Training Seminar in Scottsdale Arizona, all IAPAM members can order multiple copies of the English or Spanish hCG Protocol Guidebook for their hCG and medical weight management patients. Members wishing to order the IAPAM's hCG Patient Guide may contact Leslie at 1-800-219-5108 ext. 702.
