Recording Artist Janid to Release Her Fourth CD, "Alias"

Zonisphere Records has announced Electronica recording artist Janid’s fourth studio album, “Alias,” will be released on December 14, 2010, one day before her birthday.

New York, NY, August 17, 2010 --( Anticipated to be her most controversial project yet, “Alias” strongly criticizes the major recording industry and mass media with a collection of aggressive and provocative songs which explore the outspoken singer-songwriter’s struggle as an independent artist as well as her uninhibited sexuality.

Janid entered Zonisphere Music Group’s newly built Long Island City studios in December 2009 to begin production on “Alias” and her label expects recording to be completed in early September. At that point, Janid is scheduled to begin shooting a series of music videos aimed at treating fans to an extraordinary multi-sensory experience.

Janid’s previous work has earned her a list of awards and accolades including the CNet Editor's Pick for Brown Eyed Soul Artist Award, recognition from the Recording Academy, a nomination for Best Independent Artist of 2009 from Internet Radio Magazine, the title of “New York’s Sexiest Latina” from Farandulife Magazine, and two nationally televised performances at the New York National Puerto Rican Day Parade in 2006 and 2010. She was the most requested performer during the Gay Pride Events season in 2009 and often receives international performance invitations from Mexico, Japan and South America. Without ever being signed to a major label, she is often regarded as the hardest working independent female recording artist of the new millennium. Her debut CD, Goddess, was released in 2006.
