A First of Its Kind Video Podcast Has Achieved Two Milestones in 2006

Martial Arts Explorer has completed its first podcast season and accepted its first offer from advertisers.

Minneapolis, MN, December 23, 2006 --(PR.com)-- A ground breaking video podcast has achieved two milestones in 2006.  Martial Arts Explorer (http://martialarts.thepodcastnetwork.com) has completed its first podcast season and accepted its first offer from advertisers.

When Podtrac was looking for likely podcasts to promote the Holiday DVD release of 'The Promise', nominated for a Golden Globe as best foreign language film, they contacted The Podcast Network; home to the world's first video podcast dedicated to classical martial arts, Martial Arts Explorer.

Scot Combs, host and executive producer, says he was surprised by the request from advertisers... "I was completely surprised and gratified when Podtrac contacted TPN (The Podcasting Network) to see if we'd be interested in helping promote thier release.  We'd done about 25 shows and our viewership is edging closer to 10,000 per month, which is great; we just didn't expect to hear from advertisers so soon in the podcast's life."

Martial Arts Explorer is now in negotiations with martial arts equipment manufacturers and distributers for additional, long term advertising.  Combs says 'The Promise' has caused others to take notice of the show's popularity... "We think 'The Promise' has helped us open a few doors.  It helps ligitimize us in the online advertising community."

Season two of Martial Arts Explorer is already in production and Combs is excited about it... "Early in season two we'll be visiting with a current world champion kickboxer and catching some great technique on tape.  Next year's going to be great."
