)-- SAFE Haven for Cats will be holding a "Fill a Truck" event at the Wake Forest Walmart located at 2110 Main Street in Wake Forest on Saturday, August 28th from 8 am to 5 pm. Volunteers representing SAFE Haven will pass out the shelter's "wish list" for shoppers as they enter the store to encourage extra purchases for the felines in the shelter's care. The event is being sponsored by the Wake Forest Walmart, who actively support its community's nonprofit organizations.
SAFE Haven for Cats is the Triangle’s authentic no-kill feline shelter, and the state’s only low-cost spay and neuter clinic just for cats.

SAFE Haven is the Triangle’s authentic no-kill feline shelter. The mission is to rescue 500 abandoned, neglected and abused cats every year and adopt them into enduring homes. The SAFE Care Clinic sterilizes 1,500 cats yearly, providing low-cost services for stray, feral and owned cats in the Triangle.
All cats and kittens receive the following prior to adoption: Sterilization, a Rabies vaccine, Distemper vaccines, testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV, treatment for fleas, intestinal parasites and ear mites, a thorough examination by a veterinarian, and a microchip including registration with a national registry (AKC).
