Kira, a loner to start with, now finds herself truly all alone in the world. Well, almost. She’s forced to live with her only living relative, her grandfather, after a freak accident with her parents.

She’s also forced to live in a small town in which everyone has established friends by the time they are five and there isn’t room for outsiders. She ends up having a crush on the cutest boy in school, Jeremy Golden, but he completely ignores her. After she’s almost given up all hope of making friends in the small town of Lincoln, New York, she does make some interesting friends -- right around the same time she receives a strange gift for her seventeenth birthday. The odd birthday gift, a medallion, is sent to her by a mysterious person and there is no return address on the delivered package.

Once Kira receives the medallion, her life is turned upside down and she starts meeting special friends that have special abilities. She soon realizes that she has special abilities too. She’s left wondering why she’s received the medallion and if it’s the reason for all of her recent luck.

Medallions is an adventure that will keep readers on the edge of their seats and they’ll have to hang on tight for the ride!
