Senate Candidate Mike East to Join Panel on US, Japan, and China Business Opportunities

Kentucky Senate Candidate, Mike East, sees huge business potential for Western Kentucky in China. He is currently involved with trade in China and seeks to promote Chinese trade in Kentucky.

Paducah, KY, August 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Mike East, Kentucky’s District 2 State Senate Candidate, (www.mikeeast.com) will join a panel of 10 at the August 26th forum hosted by the Tennessee Chinese Chamber of Commerce (TCCC). The keynote speaker for the event will be Mr. Hiroshi Sato, Consul General of Japan. Mr. Sato will be addressing the Chamber gathering on Japan’s experiences in the American Market, “From Friction to Cooperation.” The gathering will be held on August 26th at 6:00 PM at TCCC, 1801 West End Ave, Suite 1150 in Nashville, TN.

East, a small business man, has placed his level products (www.DLS7.com) in China to test the market. He points out that China is the largest single market in the world, note Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_population). According to East, "They have one fifth of the world’s population, they love American products, and much of the Chinese market can still be viewed as 'virgin territory'." If elected, East has said that he will “tie various groups and associations together in Western Kentucky to improve overseas trade.” He went on to say “there are several different organizations working on the same goals but they lack coordination.” As a State Senator, East would like to bring coordination to these groups. He also believes that foreign language and customs, including Chinese, should be offered in grade school, not just college. According to East, “we are far behind the curve and must work extra hard to catch up.” As an interesting side note, East points out that, “there are more English speaking Chinese citizens than the entire population of the USA.”
