NXBL's Tampa Bay BlackSox to Play at Al Lang Stadium

A new profesional baseball league is emerging utilizing a new baseball format called Double Diamond baseball. They are playing a game this Sat 8/28 in St Pete, FL

Tampa, FL, August 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The common phrase "Its a totally new ball game" literally will come to life this Saturday at Lang Stadium when The National Xtreme Baseball Leagues Tampa Bay Blacksox will play their next home game there. The NXBL uses a unique field format called Double Diamond Baseball in which the 1st batter in the lineup runs counter clockwise on the right side diamond and the next batter runs clockwise on the left side diamond. "This format combination creates multi base running situations which is very interesting to watch," says league President Phil Weidner. The Tampa Bay Blacksox are the newest premier professional baseball team to come to the St. Pete area and are one of four teams in the NXBL's FL Division. They will take on the Orlando Dragons this Sat at 4:30PM. Tickets for the games are $7 Adults, $3.50 Children ages 5-14 and ages 4 and under are free.
