“When, in the height, the gods, as dynamic planets, had not yet been brought out…” Thus begins James Hansen’s vivid re-imagining of the Book of Genesis. Personified planets are brought forth as if born into a family, and their trials and travails eventually bring about the solar system. A dwarf star joins them and transforms into a planet supporting highly-advanced humanoids—the gods—who created safe havens and fertile ground on Earth, as well as humanity.

Happy Valley, OR, August 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- “When, in the height, the gods, as dynamic planets, had not yet been brought out…” Thus begins James Hansen’s vivid re-imagining of the Book of Genesis. Personified planets are brought forth as if born into a family, and their trials and travails eventually bring about the solar system. A dwarf star joins them and transforms into a planet supporting highly-advanced humanoids—the gods. These gods, or aliens, created safe havens and fertile ground on Earth, and, perhaps reluctantly, created humanity. Hansen’s imaginative tale, drawn from the banned story of Adam and Eve as well as other ancient texts, is an epic tale of God, Satan and the creation of mankind.

After the dragon-dog legion rebel against God, he replaces them with hew-brutes and a hew-man, Adam. When Adam and his helper, Eve, mate against God’s law, they are cast out into the wilderness. Is this part of God’s plan for the hew-mans? Will the hew-mans ever come to understand the Ancient Mysteries? The story is familiar, but witty and engaging, full of colorful imagery and high drama.

Alien Covenant: Genesis I, published by Dog Ear Publishing, is an amalgamation of many ancient texts—some sanctioned, others banned—and James Hansen’s own imagination. Hansen has spent many years pondering and researching mythology, religion, and the idea of "ancient astronauts." He is retired from the Air Force after 24 years of service as a civil engineering assistant, and now resides in Oregon with his wife.
