BHDP Architecture Enhances Retail Practice with Addition of Brezina

Cincinnati, OH, September 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- BHDP Architecture has enhanced and expanded the expertise in its Retail practice with the addition of Andrew Brezina as Retail Client Leader.

With 23 years of industry experience, Brezina brings a proven track record of success in space allocation/planning, product merchandising/presentation, standards development, design development, project scheduling, specifications and documentation for construction.

Previously, Brezina served as principal for RIC, a general contractor in Cincinnati. Prior to that, he worked in the corporate office of Macy’s for more than 20 years, most recently as Operating Vice President of Store Planning.

While at Macy’s, his professional highlights included developing the following brand flagship stores:
- Macy’s in Herald Square, downtown Manhattan;
- Burdines, Miami, Fla.;
- Lenox, Atlanta, Ga.;
- as well as incorporating hundreds of newly acquired stores into the Macy’s chain.

Brezina earned degrees in Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology as well as Orange County (Calif.) Community College. He is an officer and active member of the Institute of Store Planners (ISP)/Retail Design Institute (RDI) and is a founder of the Rudy Javosky SPACE Golf Classic which has netted more than $500,000 in scholarships for students in the fields of Construction Management, Design, Architecture and Fashion at the University of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky University.

Brezina has joined BHDP’s Retail practice which provides solutions from innovative retail design concepts and department store design to regional mall renovation and urban design/mixed use facilities. The combination allows BHDP to provide an unparalleled understanding of complex retail development to clients with the unique ability to provide services ranging from market analysis and master planning to prototyping and design.
