Bryant Youth Leadership Council Formed

Ann Arbor, MI, September 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan and the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation’s Youth Council have both awarded funding to Community Action Network to establish the Bryant Youth Leadership Council (BYLC).

The newly formed council will afford young people in the Bryant neighborhood the opportunity to engage in leadership development and team building activities, and become involved in issues that affect their immediate lives and community. The BYLC will offer a structured environment where youth can enhance their problem-solving and decision-making skills, develop self-reliance, create personal goals, and grow as citizens, role models and leaders. Program planning is already underway, with launch of youth activities in the fall. Interested youth may contact Derrick Miller, Bryant Community Center Director at (734) 477-0292 or via email at bryantdirector@gmail.com.
