Berlin, Germany, January 04, 2007 --( BlackBerry® users can now turn their handheld into a mobile office with fax functionality for just a small monthly fee, by signing up for Cortado. ThinPrint, a BlackBerry Alliance Partner, delivers the Cortado service via an online booking at for only 9.98 USD per month. The service adds value for existing BlackBerry® users by allowing e-mails, attachments, and other documents to be sent to a fax machine for printout while on the go. The cost of sending the fax is also included in the monthly fee. Cortado supports printing in the original format without page limits, as well as Office formats, PDF, images in jpg or tif format, as well as locally saved information. The service is ready to use within minutes. All that is required is registration and download of the client software. Once the software is loaded to the BlackBerry® handheld, a fax option is automatically added to the menu of all Blackberry applications. Fax numbers can be chosen directly from the address book, and the online Cortado service takes care of sending the actual fax – eliminating user waiting time.

"The fax function makes the use of BlackBerry® devices even more productive and handy, because most documents received by e-mail are simply easier to read as a printout,” explains Nina Kroll, Business Development Manager at ThinPrint GmbH. "Printing with the fax command integrated directly into the BlackBerry® menu is fast and intuitive. Plus, no matter where a user happens to be, there is certainly a fax machine nearby.”
