Alphalogix announces Tasica Workflow 3.4 to include full support for IBM WebSphere Portal 7.0 to drive customized web experiences for business communication and collaboration.

Huntington Beach, CA, September 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Alphalogix, provider of Tasica Workflow Solutions, and an IBM Independent Software Vendor, announced today that the upcoming release of Tasica Workflow version 3.4 will include support of IBM WebSphere Portal 7.0. Tasica Workflow Solutions integrated with IBM software provide businesses the ability to create and manage comprehensive workflow applications. IBM WebSphere Portal integrated with Tasica Workflow applications offers a fully customizable front end interface to manage and accomplish workflow tasks and collaborate on electronic form data. This integration allows people to work with the electronic forms, documents repositories and other applications all in one single point of access for faster and effective communication. The portal interface and workflow applications can be customized based on a user’s role, context, preferences, location, and team collaboration needs providing an efficient and targeted experience for any user’s needs.

Tasica Workflow 3.4 will include full support for JSR 286 portlets to integrate with WebSphere Portal 7.0. JSR 286 portlets feature robust interportlet communication. Tasica leverages this portlet wiring feature to allow users to automatically start, view and accomplish complete workflow tasks from a portlet within the portal page. Both IBM Lotus Forms and HTML electronic forms are supported.

In a real world example, a healthcare provider can provide a portal environment customized to the unique needs of their doctors, medical office staff and patients. Patients login to their medical office’s portal environment, and are automatically signed on to access their all of their personal account information, medical forms, doctor’s information, and messaging applications to communicate in real-time with their doctor or office staff. Patients can utilize Tasica Workflow applications such as appointment scheduling, pre-examination information, and insurance changes all within the same portal environment. They may also leverage customized applications such as local health information and pharmaceutical news that apply to the medicine they have been prescribed.

“IBM WebSphere Portal 7 is a significant step for IBM,” stated Bob McCandless, CEO of Alphalogix. “As IBM begins the Project Northstar initiative, Portal 7 will be the first leap to help reinvent the way in which businesses relate to their dynamic employee, partner and customer base through the web. As Tasica Workflow grows its capabilities in human-centric workflow applications, it will continue to power self-service applications and cross application integration within the WebSphere Portal environment. Tasica’s ease of use and flexibility for any type of business application will also emphasize the dynamic end-user experience,” added Mr. McCandless

Tasica Workflow 3.4 will also include full support for HTML electronic forms, web services, and document repositories including IBM Lotus Quickr. Tasica Workflow 3.4 will be released in the end of Q3 of 2010.
