Dynowear by Protective Undergarment Now Available at Canadian Tire Across Canada

Parents can have peace of mind as their children learn to skate. Now in its second season, Dynowear makes its way into selected Canadian Tire stores across Canada this fall. Dynowear is a completely integrated sports protective undergarment (PUG) designed to reduce the frequency and severity of sports and recreation related injuries particularly for kids who are learning to skate.

Montreal, Canada, September 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The PUG is the product of a Montreal based mom with a passion for hockey. "When our two older boys (now playing organized hockey) went through the learn-to-skate process, we were naturally concerned for their safety and went about finding something to provide basic protection from bumps and bruises. To our astonishment and dismay, we couldn’t find anything specifically designed to provide basic protection for children of different ages while they learned to ice skate," recounts Amy Lee, mom of three boys aged ten, eight and two, and co-founder of Dynowear. "With the birth of our third child and hockey a major part of our household, we wanted something that was going to provide better enjoyment, comfort and protection while he learns to ice skate - and it had to be hassle-free for us," she explains.

The PUG was developed to replace the various removable pads, typically designed for roller blading or volleyball and often strapped over or under the child’s snow suit, commonly used to protect a child’s elbows and knees. "The problem with these types of pads is that they tend to shift with movement and get left behind at the arena. Made of neoprene foam the PUG allows freedom of movement and reduces risk of your child being discouraged from pursuing skating," explains Ray Mason, President of the NDG Minor Hockey Association. Not only are parents reassured by the comprehensive protection for the child’s knees, elbows, hips and tailbone, but parents and children alike love the comfort of the sleek and lightweight high-performance padding and material. "My daughter is very happy with her Dynowear. She's always falling over during her skating lessons and we've had no complaints of injury yet," says Richard Beck of Rivière de Prairie.

The fast growing company plans to expand their product line for the next season.

Dynowear by Protective Undergarment is a division of the MTM Lefebvre Group and is available at Canadian Tire, and select Play It Again Sports locations in Montreal.
