Poker Players Turn to Online Books for Help

A new site has been launched to help poker players find out the best advice online.

New York, NY, January 05, 2007 --(PR.com)-- It seems you can't look at a bookshop's hobbies section now without seeing shelf upon shelf of 'How to Win at Poker' books staring back at you. This trend has been matched online with celebrated online players writing their secrets to online poker play as well.

There are many Ebooks floating around on the Internet marketplace about Poker, and to be brutally honest, most of them are not much help at all.

However, there are some real gems out there as well, and some of the information you can glean from these guides is invaluable.

A new blog has been set up at http://pokerbooksonline.blogspot.com/ which aims to pick the wheat from the chaff. Owner Jim Moir has purchased about 30 of these books at various times during his poker career and has decided to set up his site to show players which ones are worth getting.

Jim commented, "I spent about $600 on all these books, and out of the ones I got only 4 were useful. However the 4 that were useful, were very useful, and I have easily recouped all the money, even the money I spent on the poor ones. I thought I would set up this site, just so people could know what the best ones were, and so they wouldn't have to spend money on the useless ones."

The interesting point about Poker Books is that, because of the nature of the advice, anything that you learn from them is going to make you more money back, and pay off the cost of the book, as it will win you extra cash in situations were you may not have maximised your win potential, or even lost the hand in question.

So if you are confused about all the online poker manuals out there, then do yourself a favour and check out http://pokerbooksonline.blogspot.com/ and see if it clears the fog a little.
