Texas Nursery & Landscape Association Recognizes Best Landscaping Projects in Texas

2010 Texas Excellence in Landscaping Awards - The Texas Nursery & Landscape Association (TNLA) honored excellence in landscaping this year at its annual awards dinner held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas during the Nursery/Landscape Expo.

Austin, TX, September 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Texas Nursery & Landscape Association (TNLA) honored excellence in landscaping this year at its annual awards dinner held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas during the Nursery/Landscape Expo.

The Texas Excellence in Landscaping (TEIL) Award program recognizes top achievers in landscape design, installation, and maintenance for projects within the State of Texas. The program provides an opportunity for those in the landscape industry to promote public awareness of their role in environmental improvements.

More than 200 guests honored the award winning projects, which received a total of 6 Gold, 10 Silver, and 10 Bronze Awards. Texas landscape contractors, landscape designers and others working with homeowners and businesses were among those who gathered to view a presentation of the projects receiving awards.

In addition to receiving a Gold Award for Residential Maintenance, Lambert Landscape Company of Dallas won the Grand Platinum Award for its Neo-Classical Garden Residence project. The Grand Platinum Award is given to only one submission per year. It is the landscape project that receives the highest cumulative marks by the panel of judges for all categories. This project represents the best of the best.

The Texas Department of Agriculture selected a photo to be part of a featured GO TEXAN wildlife exhibit within the Food and Fiber Pavilion presented by Borden at the 2010 State Fair of Texas. A photo from Silver Award winner L.D. Erickson of Arlington will be used as a 10’ x 10’ native landscape backdrop for the interactive wildlife area.
