)-- Heron Financial Partners, Inc. announced today that three new Registered Representatives have recently joined the firm. Jim Herzog, Jim Delaura and Brian Spatola, each an Investment Advisor Representative with NEXT Financial Group, Inc., member FINRA/SIPC, all bring a wealth of Corporate and Financial Industry experience to the Heron team. Jim Herzog and Jim DeLaura, most recently affiliated with LPL Financial, merged their firm Capital Concepts with Heron Financial Partners earlier this year. Brian Spatola comes to Heron after serving as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones since 2005. Heron Financial Partners provides wealth management services to clients nationwide.
Jim Herzog has been in the financial services industry since 1970. Originally from Rochester, New York, he and his family moved to Florida in 1991. While living in New York, he spent many years as an OSJ (Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction) for Integrated Resources, a Colorado based broker/dealer, where he supervised and trained 72 advisors in 18 offices. Mr. Herzog and his firm helped to educate their advisors in the latest financial and estate strategies with the goal to accumulate and preserve assets for middle life events as well as retirement and the eventual passage of assets to heirs. Mr. Herzog was recently named the President of the Brevard Chapter of SOFA, The Society for Financial Awareness. SOFA is a national 501C3 organization that is dedicated to helping families. Their interactive, no cost seminars are designed to help increase financial literacy to the public and are presented in corporations, churches and organizations all over the country.
Also from Rochester, NY, Jim DeLaura moved to Melbourne, Florida in 2000 to pursue a career opportunity as an independent financial services representative and insurance agent. Prior to his move to Melbourne, Jim had a diverse corporate career including positions in finance, logistics, and quality in the consumer health care and consumer electronics industries. His background includes heading up the Quality Development and Training program for a $100 million eye care business unit of Bausch & Lomb. He graduated from Niagara University with a B.S. in Commerce and MBA from University of Rochester's Simon School of Business.
A Massachusetts native, Brian Spatola relocated to Florida in 2003 after a 28 year career in the telecommunications industry working for Western Electric, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies in a technical and engineering capacity. Mr. Spatola attended Merrimack College in N. Andover, Massachusetts studying Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. He is an active member of the Palm Bay Rotary Club as well as being very active with the Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce as well as the Chamber of Commerce in Palm Bay. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Palm Bay Chamber in 2008 and currently serves on the Executive Committee as Vice Chair.
