Artist Joshua Barber Reveals "All the Ways I’m Leaving You" at Gallery 5800 on October 1st

Artists Joshua Barber, Andre Lucero and Ed Hatch host a joint exhibition at Gallery 5800 in Richmond

Richmond, VA, September 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Joshua Barber reveals his first landscape collection entitled, "all the ways i'm leaving you" on October 1st, 2010 at Gallery 5800 from 5:30pm - 8:30 pm. The eight piece series explores the thoughts and reasoning on why we sometimes leave the things we love. The style of "all the ways i'm leaving you" has evolved from Barber's "exterior worlds" which have recently been auctioned at the Dreweatts Urban Art sale in London, U.K. His next London auction with Dreweatts is scheduled for October 21st, 2010.

The joint exhibition will feature the work of Barber and two other landscape painters. Andre Lucero, Ed Hatch and Joshua Barber are all represented by Gallery 5800 and their exhibit will be on display from October 1st - October 31st.

About Joshua Barber:
Joshua Barber paints modern icons and landscapes. His stylized figures depict microcosms of memory both whimsical and dark. He has held two solo shows in Richmond and been selected for the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts’ “Art After Hours” for three consecutive years. Joshua Barber has most recently shown his work in New York, Los Angeles and London; his last exhibit was held in August at Knifesmith Gallery in Bristol, England. About Andre Lucero:
Born in Tehran, Iran in 1967, Andre’s U.S. Military family returned to the states soon after his birth settling in a Washington D.C. Suburb. Early on, Andre’s artistic nature was encouraged by his parents who were both patrons of the arts.

Andre Lucero’s illustrations have appeared in numerous publications including The New York Times, Playboy, U.S. News & World Report, The Washington Times, Arthritis Today, Business Law Today and Government Executive. Andre decided to leave the field of illustration and devote his full attention to his first love, painting. Andre Lucero lives and maintains a studio in Richmond, Virginia. About Ed Hatch:
Ed is widely recognized for his unique ability to capture a special feeling and awareness in the subjects he paints. Over the past couple of years, he has taken up plein-air painting. Ed states “I find that painting on location, has greatly improved my studio production as it has forced me to become more efficient in applying paint.”

Ed has had his work published in Virginia Wildlife, Hampton Roads Magazine, American Art Collector, and Artist and Art Galleries of the South. He has also earned several awards including: Virginia Heritage Award Presented by Governor Baliles, Virginia Museum Professional Fellowship Award, Best in Show at the Mid-Atlantic Wildfowl Festival three years in a row.
