Foxbright and DynaCal Announce Strategic Alliance to Deliver Dynamic Real-time Scheduling and Calendaring to School Websites

Integration will enable Foxbright CMS for Schools users to manage athletic, administrative, classroom, and event scheduling online.

Grand Rapids, MI, January 04, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Foxbright, a West Michigan-based technology company specializing in the design and development of website content management systems (CMS) for schools, announced a strategic alliance with DynaCal, LLC, an Ohio-based developer of dynamic web-based calendaring and scheduling tools for the K-12 market.

Foxbright’s CMS enables school districts and educational consortia to keep website content fresh without the need for a dedicated Webmaster. Using the CMS, designated people can quickly and easily change website content on pages for which they are responsible. “The Internet user community increasingly expects school websites to offer timely content that is relevant to them. Probably no area of a typical school district’s website is as dynamic as the calendar of events, which can change from hour to hour,” says Catherine Ettinger, Foxbright’s President.

“The time is right for this type of alliance,” says Arlan Yoder, President of DynaCal. “Schools everywhere are realizing that CMS tools are a practical necessity. Foxbright has developed an excellent tool for the education market. Our alliance enhances its functionality, permitting schools all the benefits of real-time activity and event communications in combination with a significant, maintainable, and professional web presence.”

Traditionally, school districts announce event schedules piecemeal—with district events, athletic events, and building or classroom events communicated separately. Considering the variety of facilities, groups, and activities in a district, disjointed communication can create significant logistics problems. DynaCal’s integration into the Foxbright software enables users to see all scheduled events simultaneously, allowing them to avoid or mitigate conflicts.

“Users will be able to manage and maintain their events, calendars, and facilities scheduling via the DynaCal online software.  The information will seamlessly populate to the district website through the Foxbright software,” says Rob Huisingh, VP of Sales & Marketing for Foxbright. “We see great promise in this alliance, and we have a great deal of respect for each other’s companies and products.”

Full software integration is scheduled for February 2007 release, and implementation at selected districts will begin in March.
