2010 BioWest Conference & Expo to Showcase 40+ New Technologies, Products and Services

More than 40 exhibitors will be showcasing new technology, products and services for 500+ attendees at the 2010 BioWest Conference & Expo, September 29 and 30, at the Grand Hyatt Denver, 1750 Welton. BioWest, in its eighth year, is the Rocky Mountain region’s preferred venue for visiting and learning about the bioscience industry.

Denver, CO, September 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- More than 40 exhibitors will be showcasing new technology, products and services for 500+ attendees at the 2010 BioWest Conference & Expo. The announcement is made by Holli Baumunk, President and CEO of the Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA), who says this event will bring together the industry in the Rocky Mountain Region for seminars and educational topics and to view the latest new products and services offered to the bioscience community.

“The bioscience community wouldn’t be able to survive without the essential support services and products that help advance companies,” Baumunk explains. “The exhibit hall at BioWest offers our companies a chance to see the new products and services that are being offered today, and we are happy to welcome these forty exhibitors to BioWest and look forward to a successful conference.”

In addition to the exhibitors, the conference will include a full agenda of programming and events. Jim Greenwood, President and CEO of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) along side Mark Leahey, President and CEO of the Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA) will discuss the health care reform and its impact on both the medical device and biotechnology industries. Thomas Warwick, Denver District Director of the Food and Drug Administration will discuss the changes ahead of the FDA and the different avenues companies will have to access the FDA. Mark G. Heesen, President of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) will discuss the role of venture capital and how this will evolve in the future. In addition, Dr. Temple Grandin, will provide the Annual Awards Dinner Keynote on the evening of September 29.

Earlier stage technologies will be showcased at the Technology Transfer Poster Reception on the evening of September 29. Researchers from the region’s top institutions will be on hand with scientific poster presentations to discuss their bioscience discoveries. Following the reception will be the CBSA Annual Awards Dinner where the bioscience industry celebrates the “Best of the Best’ and recognizes industry leaders and supporters.
