New Release from Colt Records

Nashville, TN, September 24, 2010 --(PR.com)-- A Broken Heart, new country gospel release is taking the charts by storm. The release was launched worldwide this week from legendary traditional country music artist, J. K. Coltrain. Coltrain is well known in Nashville music circles as a singer whose life's work is geared toward preserving traditional country music. As such he is co-chairman and sponsor of the group, The Traditional Country Opry, and has to his credits a gold record. Coltrain is President of the well respected Indie label, Colt Records with an impressive list of traditional country singers.

A Broken Heart is Colt Record's President, J. K. Coltrain's first country gospel release. The song was written by Peggy Mercer, a world known author and songwriter from Georgia. Both are members of BMI and well known in Nashville music circles.

A Broken Heart debuted in the top ten on the charts in country gospel and is currently rising in the numbers. Colt Records is thrilled with this mega release. They wish to thank Ed Gowens, Atlanta sound producer and Dana Jordan of Nashville, for backup harmonies. Colt Records also wishes to thank radio stations worldwide as well as supporters for continuing to listen to and preserve country music in the tradition of George Jones, Ernest Tubb and Kitty Wells.

And it looks like Coltrain is doing just that. He was mentioned recently by Mike Huckabee on national television as a Nashville music producer who helps aspiring young singers and music stars early in their careers.
