Man Wins New Lennar Home When Cardinals Return Opening Kick-Off for Unlikely Touchdown

A Surprise, Ariz. man wins a new home from Lennar in an Arizona Cardinals promotion. The Cardinals returned the opening kick off on Sunday and scored a touch down, the criteria for the "Take it to The House" promotion.

Glendale, AZ, September 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Dave Johnson of Surprise, Arizona defied all odds and won a new Lennar home at the Arizona Cardinals-Oakland Raiders game today in Glendale, Arizona. Lennar, the Proud Home Builder Partner of the Arizona Cardinals, is running a “Take it to the House” promotion at all Cardinals home games this season. If the Cardinals return their opening kickoff for a touchdown, a pre-registered contestant wins a brand new home, courtesy of Lennar. “I couldn’t believe it. I saw the play developing right in front of me. It was really exciting,” said Johnson. Johnson can thank Cardinals player LaRod Stephens-Howling who scored the 102-yard touchdown.

Johnson signed up at Lennar’s Asante community in Surprise. A Realtor with Keller Williams, Johnson is now contemplating which Lennar community he will choose. He’s giving serious consideration Discovery at Bella Via in Mesa and Horizon at Boardwalk in Glendale, which just happens to be near the University of Phoenix Stadium where all Cardinals home games are played.

"Lennar is proud to be the homebuilding partner of the Arizona Cardinals and we congratulate Mr. Johnson, his family and LaRod Stephens-Howling for making the opening kick-off an exciting event for everyone, especially the Lennar associates,” said Alan Jones, Lennar’s Arizona Division President.

The Take it to the House promotion runs through the Cardinals home game on December 12. Contestants can sign up at any designated Lennar Welcome Home Centers, then the Cardinals and Lennar select one contestant to attend each home game. Contestants must be 18 years or older and have a valid Arizona driver’s license. Registration runs until December 1.

Lennar was founded in 1954 and is one of the nation’s leading builders of homes for people of all ages. The company has been building in Arizona for more than 45 years and owns considerable land holdings in the state.
