Nashville, TN, September 29, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Internationally-acclaimed violinist to tour October 2 through December 30, 2010

Award-winning Celtic/Native American violinist Arvel Bird today announced plans for his 2010 Arvel Bird On Wings Tour. The highly anticipated tour will feature Bird’s most recent award-winning and award-nominated songs, such as “Desert Rose” from his album Ride Indian Ride released earlier this year.

“I couldn’t be more excited to kick off the tour in Fort Worth at the Cowtown Celtic Festival,” said violin virtuoso Arvel Bird. “Celtic fiddling is my heritage. It’s music that gets the crowds on their feet and is fun to play.”

Classically trained, Bird began his career touring with Country music legends such as Glen Campbell, Loretta Lynn and Ray Price. Branching off on his own, Bird has explored his Scottish and Native American roots to find the foot-stompin’ and spiritual rhythms that have made him one of the most sought after Native American musicians on tour today. His tours continue to draw crowds and pack concert halls and venues across the country.

“The reason for this tour is to have fun, give the fans the songs that they love, and to be inspired to create new music,” said Bird. “After taking a brief break to spend time in the recording studio, I’m eager to get back out on the road.” Bird is finalizing two new albums due out in stores and online early next year.

On this tour, Bird will soar through many states, including Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, Washington, DC, Alaska and Arizona. “I am honored to be playing at the National Museum of the American Indian at the Smithsonian as part of the On Wings Tour,” continued Bird.
