Los Angeles, CA, January 09, 2007 --(PR.com
)-- For the past several years, Tanja D. has been designing and creating one-of-a kind necklaces.
Her latest exhibition in Dubrovnik, Croatia showcased over sixty original pieces. Hung on the walls and surrounded by various sized picture frames, they took the form of beautiful paintings. “I like to think of my necklaces as wearable art. I put my heart into my jewelry and all I can hope for is that my pieces reflect that.” From the whimsical “Ménage a Trois” and the romantic “Love at First Sight” to the poetic “Dragonfly & Heaven,” each individual necklace is signed and named.
Using semi-precious stones, pearls, wood and out of the ordinary materials such as beach pebbles and cuff-links, the core of Tanja’s inspiration comes from her materials. “Every stone is different. For me, they have energy; they have soul. It is almost as if these objects call out to me. I am the medium that allows them to become alive.” When looking at Tanja D.’s work, there is no doubt that her pieces are more than just jewelry. Each one of her creations seems to tell its own story.
Her work is such a reflection of this woman. Elegant yet trendy, bold yet subtle. It is this juxtaposition – between vulnerability and strength – that makes Tanja D’s necklaces so fascinating. With over a hundred and fifty necklaces in her current collection, there is a piece for every occasion. It is no wonder that females from sixteen to sixty are drawn to her work!
Her jewelry is currently available at Kingfisher Road (5351 Topanga Canyon Blvd) and with several more retailers on the horizon; there is no doubt that Tanja D, www.tanjad.com, will take Los Angeles by storm.
Caroline Rothwell, President of Caro Marketing, a public relations firm based in Los Angeles, has just signed Tanja D. as a new client.
