Grapevine Wine Tours Add Sunday Excursions

Popular new DFW-area attraction now open for lunch tours on Sundays.

Grapevine, TX, October 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Spurred by popular demand and a refreshing change of seasons, Grapevine Wine Tours recently added Sunday lunch tours to its weekly schedule. The new excursions are in addition to the daily lunch and dinner tours offered Mondays through Saturdays, and are driven by robust weekend demand, the onset of cooler Fall temperatures and even self-styled “football widows” looking for a unique, fun and affordable diversion on Sunday afternoons.

As with their other tours, Sunday lunch excursions include tastings at three award-winning wineries, along with a delicious meal served at one of the wineries. A 21-passenger shuttle – piloted by a professional tour guide – transports guests from local area hotels to each of the fabulous tasting rooms in climate-controlled comfort.

Grapevine Wine Tours launched to rave reviews in late July. The tours have been wildly popular with out-of-town visitors and locals alike.

“We’ve been truly amazed by the response we’ve received to our tours right out of the gate,” said Ladd Biro, co-owner of Grapevine Wine Tours (www.GrapevineWineTours.com). “We originally had no intention of running Sunday tours, but our guests have requested it, and demand has already exceeded expectations.”

Lunch and dinner tours are affordably priced at $59.50 and $74.50, respectively. Group rates and deluxe packages designed for corporate outings, conference and convention groups, birthday and anniversary celebrations, Girls Nights Out and other special occasions are also available.

“In addition to the new Sunday excursions, our group business started taking off this month, even including special package deals with the Texas Rangers,” said Biro. “We have a 120-person tour next week, and we’ve already started taking reservations for corporate Christmas parties and groups coming to North Texas for the Super Bowl.”

Every Grapevine Wine Tour offers a unique experience. Because the city is home to more exceptional wineries than can be explored on any given tour, itineraries are rotated daily from among the following: Cross Timbers Winery, Delaney Vineyards, D’Vine Wine, Farina’s Winery & Café, Homestead Winery, La Buena Vida Vineyards and Su Vino Winery. Guests also drive through Historic Grapevine Township, with its rich array of art galleries, shops and restaurants.

The shuttle typically picks up and drops off guests at three Grapevine hotels – Embassy Suites Outdoor World, Hilton DFW Lakes, and the Gaylord Texan Resort. Local residents are asked to meet the shuttle at one of these locations. Special arrangements can be made for larger groups.

At the conclusion of each tour, guests are invited to cast their votes for Grapevine’s “Most Outstanding Winery” and “Most Outstanding Wine.” Awards will be announced quarterly and annually, exclusively by Grapevine Wine Tours.
