Pet Buddy Plus Announces the Kick-Off of WishBones for Pets Thanksgiving Charity 2010 Hosted by Professional Pet Sitters of Minnesota

Minneapolis, MN, October 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Pet Buddy Plus is a member of Professional Pet Sitters of Minnesota (PPSMN) and joins them in their pursuit to make a positive difference in the lives of homeless animals in the Twin Cities.

PPSMN has hosted a WishBones for Pets campaign for the past six years. Local businesses get involved by making donations and hosting collection jars and bins at their business locations. Last year with the help of 12 local Twin City businesses and many pet sitting clients, $1255.76 in funds and over $600 in food and goods were collected during the WishBones for Pets event. Proceeds went to benefit the homeless animals at Second Chance Animal Rescue.

Many thanks go to the 2009 participating businesses: Inver Grove Animal Hospital, Grand Avenue Veterinary Center, Bone Adventure, Wendy's Doghouse, Clean as a Whisker, Pet Stuff, It's a Pet's Life, Woodlake Veterinary, Pet Supplies Plus, Richfield Fish & Pet Center, Premier Pet Salon and Edina Pet Hospital.

This year proceeds will go to the homeless animals at Red Lake Rosie's Rescue.

Currently signed up as 2010 participating businesses are: Wendy's Doghouse, Glen Lake and Shorewood Pet Stuff, Pet Supplies Plus, It's a Pet's Life, Premier Pet Salon. Pet Supplies Plus and Groomingdales Pet Salons.
