Prague, Czech Republic, October 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Yuri's Night, the World Space Party, is proud to announce the inauguration of the 50 Years Of Human Spaceflight Video Project. To celebrate the golden anniversary of human spaceflight, Yuri's Night will be recording interviews with celebrities, prominent space enthusiasts, and everyday space fans, and releasing them on the Yuri's Night Blog and iTunes-subscribable Yuri's Night podcast.

The first interviewee of the Yuri's Night Video Project is Jean-Jacques Dordain, the Director General of the European Spaceflight Agency. Mr. Dordain was interviewed by Yuri's Night Executive Director Ryan Kobrick at this year's International Astronautical Congress in Prague, Czech Republic and discusses the importance of international cooperation in space and what the golden anniversary of human spaceflight means to him. A video of the full interview will soon be available at www.yurisnight.net.

The Video Project is the successor to last year's Yuri's Night Global Podcast, a video series of global 'toasts' to Yuri's Night. Yuri's Night toasts were recorded by NASA Administrator Charles Bolden, the crew of the International Space Station, and the staff of the Google Lunar X PRIZE competition. The Video Project builds on the success of the Global Podcast, bringing the space community more in-depth discussions with scientific and cultural luminaries. Furthermore, Yuri's Night hopes to bring the global space community closer together by incorporating interviews with space devotees of all ages, nations, and walks of life, visually demonstrating our shared worldwide interest in space and space exploration.

Further Video Project interviews are currently being conducted; for more information on the Video Project and Yuri's Night, or to suggest a possible interview subject, visit www.yurisnight.net or message the YN Twitter account at @yurisnight.
