InkTec America Corp. Adds New LFP and Media Products to Site

Santa Ana, CA, October 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- InkTec America Corp. adds pigment and dye based ink and media products for large format printers to its online shopping mall.

The newly added pigment and dye based inks are water based and crafted for Epson Piezo head printers. This specific pigment-based ink is taken through a rigorous production process with InkTec’s very own dispersion liquid to form homogeneous nano-sized pigment particles. The dye-based ink has homogeneous particles for precise jetting through Epson’s Piezo Head to print vivid images with vibrant colors as InkTec products are known to have one of the top light fastness dyes in the market.

Epson is unique for using Piezo print heads to release ink which is unlike other vendors’ thermal-type print heads that heat the ink to be distributed on paper. Epson printers send out an electric signal to each nozzle on the print head so the ink is dispersed accordingly. This allows precise distribution of ink and controlled ink droplet size. This precise ink droplet distribution is what led InkTec to create such homogeneous particle pigments and dyes specifically for Epson’s Piezo head.

InkTec's media product line consists of high-quality water based clear film that is printable with thermal and piezo head printers made by HP, Encad, Roland, Mutoh, Epson and Mimaki printers. This clear film is known for its ability to produce vibrant photo prints, image durability and brilliant resolution. The nonadhesive ITP clear film is available in widths ranging from 17”-44” and are 135μm thick, weighing 175g/㎡.

This specific clear film is coated with a microporous layer meaning the pores have diameters that are usually less than 2 nanometers that helps the ink maintain color balance and life expectancy of the printed image. With the availability of the clear film on InkTec’s website (www.inktec-usa.com), end users will be able to print their indoor and outdoor graphics and signage. It is also suitable for preparation of film positives for silk screen print application, mapping, sign and design, transparent images, backlit graphics, overlay and templates by specially treated coating on the clear film.

Thanks to ongoing research and development at InkTec’s headquarters in Korea, InkTec is able to provide up to date ink and media information and technology to end users with the highest quality products for printing.
