MMI Public Relations’ Kathleen Mongero to Speak at Cisco Connected Women of North Carolina Fall 2010 Event

Raleigh Public Relations Professional to Discuss Networking Across Generations

Raleigh, NC, October 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Patty Briguglio, president of MMI Public Relations (http://www.mmipublicrelations.com), a Raleigh-based public relations firm, has announced that Kathleen Mongero, social media account executive at the firm, will participate in a panel discussion at the Cisco Connected Women of North Carolina Fall 2010 event. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8 at the Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel located at 4100 Main St. in Raleigh.

The panel will discuss the distinguishing features of four generations of women together in the workforce. Mongero will represent the millennial generation amongst a panel of seasoned and emerging professional women. The panel will discuss how to successfully network between the different generations, how to bridge the gap and learn from others as well as how to successfully diversify your network. Topics that will be addressed in the discussion include personal style, vocabulary, differences in values and the importance of communications across four generations of professional women. The event itself highlights one of the first times in history that four generations of professional women are in the workforce together.

Quotes:
“As we see our personal and professional lives represented in a more fast-paced online world, it is important to openly address ways in which generations can work together to maximize the benefits of new technologies while continuing to preserve the traditional values and ideologies that many fear are being left behind,” said Mongero. “As is often the case, the question is not what, but how we do this. The Connected Women panel represents an opportunity for everyone in attendance to contribute to this important conversation as we work together to bridge the communication gap between the generations.”

“I am proud to have Kathleen speaking on Connected Women’s panel,” said Briguglio. “I am confident that her inherent ability to connect new media with traditional PR will translate into valuable input during this discussion that includes a collection of such talented and intelligent women.”
