Welcome to the Bates Motel LLC, Shifts Into Production

Feature Film Looks to Make a Killing

Gradyville, PA, October 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The engine rumbled, the music enchanted, and screams echoed throughout the forest. It’s the beginning of Halloween season and the Haunted Hayride at Arasapha Farms is as popular as ever. The three attractions at this haunt, the hayride, the Bates Motel, and the corn maze, are sufficient enough to attract a large crowd, but this year the chance of being in a feature film may attract a few more.

The horror film, titled Welcome to the Bates Motel, will star local actress Jean-Louise O’Sullivan, and Munsters star Butch Patrick. Filmmaker Byron Turk, from the Discovery Channel series Storm Chasers (new season premiers Oct. 13), made his way to the haunt from Hollywood, California and is producing and directing his first feature film. “This production has the luxury of making a scary movie at one of the scariest Halloween spectacles in the world,” Turk explained, “I’ve taken my camera inside 10 tornadoes, flew over the Middle East in Blackhawks, went lens to nose with deadly alligators of the Louisiana Bayou, and I am excited for this new adventure at the Bates Motel and Haunted Hayride.” The horror film is a thrilling murder mystery that will use the many gruesome and fear inducing scenes of the Bates Motel and Haunted Hayride to terrify its viewers. “I scream every time I’m at the Bates Motel and this movie will make you scream” said Jean-Louise. “I just hope the weather cooperates.”

The Bates Motel and Haunted Hayride (www.thebatesmotel.com) opened on the Oct. 1st, and will re-open from Oct. 8-31 every night at dusk. Filming has already begun. Local customers looking for a chance to become a movie star should attend the haunt Monday Oct 11th or any evening there after.
