Traditional Jeweler’s Annual Event Provides Free After-School Programs for Children

2010 Watch Extravaganza Raises Support for After-School All-Stars

Newport Beach, CA, October 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- On September 16, Traditional Jewelers hosted its casino-themed watch fair to more than 400 guests to benefit After-School All-Stars (ASAS), Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s nonprofit for at-risk youth. Held at its flagship store in Newport Beach and co-sponsored by Riviera Magazine, the event featured twelve major luxury watch brands and a special appearance by San Diego Chargers star Shaun Phillips. Ten percent of the merchandise sales from the event was donated to ASAS, resulting in a significant contribution that provided thousands of Southern California children with critical after-school programs.

As part of the casino-themed festivities, Valley View Casino & Hotel gave away two luxury casino packages in a donation raffle benefiting ASAS, and provided each guest with a $100 gift certificate to its Black & Blue Steakhouse. During the event, Shaun Phillips spoke about his continuous involvement with ASAS and encouraged everyone to give as generously as they could. Anna Cleveland, Director of Marketing for Traditional Jewelers, said, “It was one of our most successful events in years. We are very glad that we’re able to support a wonderful cause during these still precarious times.”
