Adaptive Site Monitoring Improves Clinical Research Efficiency: DIA Invites Health Decisions to Discuss

Health Decisions CEO Dr. Michael Rosenberg will explore the implications of advanced e-monitoring models during two sessions at the DIA 4th Annual Clinical Forum.

Durham, NC, October 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Health Decisions (www.HealthDec.com), a full-service clinical research organization (CRO) specializing in high-efficiency adaptive methods, will be represented by CEO Dr. Michael Rosenberg at the DIA 4th Annual Clinical Forum October 11 -13 in Lisbon, Portugal. Dr. Rosenberg will address the Forum with a presentation titled “Adaptive Monitoring: Faster, Better e-Monitoring.” It will highlight the advantages and requirements of adopting innovative monitoring methods and technologies.

“An adaptive monitoring system builds on the same basic principles as adaptive design. But instead of interim reviews of patient data, adaptive monitoring deals with operational metrics on an iterative, day-to-day scale,” said Dr. Rosenberg. “With the ability to access constant flows of meaningful metrics in near-real time, study teams can respond more quickly—often preemptively—to emerging problems. As a result, drug and device developers benefit from better quality data, more efficient use of resources, and substantially shorter program cycles.”

“Adaptive Monitoring: Faster, Better e-Monitoring” will be presented during two Forum sessions at the Lisboa Congress Centre. The first session, Adaptive Design for Clinical Trials: Issues and Solutions, will take place Tuesday, October 12 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM WEST.

Dr. Rosenberg will repeat the presentation on Wednesday, October 13 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM WEST as part of the Monitoring Strategies for the Future session, chaired by Nermeen Y. Varawalla, CEO of ECCRO and featuring additional presentations from Kendle and Reliance Clinical Research Services. Additional information about the sessions, including the full program and registration information, is available from the DIA website at www.diahome.org/diahome/FlagshipMeetings/home.aspx?meetingid=22350.
