Riverside, CA, October 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Downtown Street Jam is a free outdoor street scene that showcases talents of local musicians and has featured some award winning headliners. Since it launched in the spring of last year, Downtown Street Jam has become one of the most anticipated events in downtown Riverside and has received special honors from The City of Riverside and The Arts Council, and was dubbed "Biggest musical event since the Orange Blossom Festival" by The Press-Enterprise. The next Downtown Street Jam takes place Saturday, October 16th from 2-9 p.m. The main stage will be located at Ninth and Main streets, and the Kid’s Jam on Main Street between University and Mission Inn with festivities including an inflatable jumper, face painters, pirate activities with the Port Royal Privateers, and special appearance by the author of "Curse at Zala Manor" – first book in the Monster Moon series. There will also be various local artisan vendors along University Avenue from Main to Orange streets.

The theme for this Downtown Street Jam event is Country Western with a mix of Blues, Jump Blues and Rockabilly music. On the main stage, The Buzz Jumpers will kick things off from 2-3:15 p.m.; followed with some good ole down home Blues from local favorites, United Blues Band from 3:45-5 p.m.; and Back Home will play a mix of classic country songs from 5:30-6:45 p.m. The headliner Austin Law (mycountryspace.com/austinlaw) is a group of eight dynamic musicians led by lead vocalist Michael Austin who hails from a small town in Cole Turkey Acres, Missouri. Austin’s smooth, warm voice and tremendous range, coupled with heartfelt lyrics and hard driving Country Rock shaped the sound of Austin Law.
