Uniastrum Bank to Allocate Nearly Rb 2 bn to Moscow City Hall Partnership Program in 2010-2011

On September 7 the Moscow Administration reconferred authorized bank status on Uniastrum Bank for a further 18 months, simultaneously approving the lender’s partnership program with the Moscow Authorities in 2010-2011.

Moscow, Russia, October 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Uniastrum became a Moscow Administration authorized bank in 2006, since when it has worked closely with the capital’s government on programs geared toward improving the life of the community and investing in the local economy.

Under its partnership program with Moscow City Hall in 2009-2010 Uniastrum disbursed more than Rb 2.4 bn, meeting its target program commitments by 130%. In 2009 it issued some Rb 500 mn in loans to enterprises guaranteed by the Moscow City Small Business Assistance Fund. In recognition of the solid build in its lending portfolio in 2009, Uniastrum was awarded a special certificate of merit by the Moscow Administration.

In 2010-2011 Uniastrum Bank intends to continue its collaboration with the Moscow Authorities in 11 main areas, including a targeted program rendering support to Moscow-based SME, an integrated scheme to support local business, charity work, assistance to higher education institutions, and participation in community programs organized by City Hall and district prefect’s offices. Since early 2010 Uniastrum has issued over Rb 450 mn (as of September 1, 2010) in loans guaranteed by the City of Moscow Small Business Credit Assistance Fund.
