EMP Innovation Revolutionizing ED Business Management

Emergency Medicine Physicians (EMP), one of the leading providers of emergency medical services in the United States, is additionally committed to the development of innovative and effective products and processes to better provide & manage emergency department quality and services.

Canton, OH, October 12, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Among the most innovative and useful in the last year was development and release of a unique Intranet site that offers physicians improved access to personalized data, information, resources and education in a secure and portable platform which can be accessed by Smartphone or computer. Among the most appreciated features are physicians' individual productivity and patient satisfaction trends, their benefits & equity information, and patient charts - all available 24/7 at their convenience.

Dubbed MyPulse in recognition of what emergency providers do every day, the site delivers a fully customizable experience allowing physicians build their own home page as well as integration with social software, applications such as wikis, an RSS feed reader and a notification system which allows important messages to be delivered to a user's mobile phone. For the busy ED physician, the convenience of having whatever they need at the touch of their phone is exceptional.

Developed in-house, MyPulse is the brainchild of David Peppard, Chief Technology Officer for EMP, and Jesse Eterovich, IT Manager for EMP. Peppard was educated at Vanderbilt University where he studied Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics and remains on the VU Board of Advisors. He has extensive experience in software development, engineering and Quality auditing including at XPAN (later Accenture,) Ballantyne, Liquid Control Corp (now Grayco) and Diebold. Eterovich received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Kent State University with a major in Computer Information Systems. He has 10 years of healthcare IT experience and has engineered the development of large-scale systems responsible for the processing of millions of patient records annually.

MyPulse was recently recognized in Managing Content in the Cloud by Tom Jenkins, a nationally recognized innovator and expert in the internet revolution (Publisher: Open Text Corporation; 1st edition. May 3, 2010.) Cloud computing is a system for outsourcing data storage & applications and in today's world must provide accurate, secure and easily available information across multiple repositories, applications, devices and platforms.

Emergency Medicine Physicians recognizes the expertise and dedication of countless medical, technical and management experts in the development of the innovative tool, MyPulse.
