Bird, of Nashville, of the Southern Paiute and Metis Nation, is one of the most sought after Native American musicians on tour today. Bird is known for his powerful talent and artistic passion. He is a classically trained violinist who calls on his Native American and Celtic heritage to create performances that delight audiences worldwide. His Arvel Bird On Wings tour features his popular Celtic fiddling, along with music from his latest album, Ride Indian Ride, a departure from his more traditional cultural music, with an edgier blues/rock sound. The album was inspired by Indian Motorcycles, a symbol of power and magnificence, while honoring the Indian tradition.

In 1986, he joined Glen Campbell, touring worldwide with Campbell's band for six years. In 1991, he moved to Nashville and continued touring with Loretta Lynn, Louise Mandrell, Clay Walker, Ray Price and others.
