Amber Alert Issued for Texas Sisters (Mercedes & Monica Pineda)

Springfield, IL, January 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Texas Department of Public Safety and The Ferris Police Department have issued an Amber Alert for Mercedes Pineda, 10, and Monica Pineda, 15, after their mother used deceptive means to remove the younger child from school.

Debra Pineda, 31, is ordered by the court to have no visitation with her daughter and is a non-custodial parent. Police warn that she may be unstable.

Mercedes is Hispanic, 4 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 75 pounds. Monica is Hispanic, 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 105 pounds.

Anyone with information on the location of Mercedes or Debra Pineda is asked to call the Ferris Police Department at 972-544-2233 or call 911.
