Recent Visit from Chinese Business Partners Introduce SIP to North Carolina Economy

Honored guests included Yanyan Sun, vice chairman of SIP, Cindy Yin, deputy director of the SIP Investment Promotion Bureau, Jenny Zhong, chief of Euro-American division of the SIP Investment Promotion Bureau, and Charles Liu, project manager for the SIP Investment Promotion Bureau. Other guests were from the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, members of N.C. Governor Bev Perdue’s China Advisory Council, various North Carolina businesses and guests from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.

At the luncheon, state Senator Floyd B. McKissick Jr. (D-Durham) presented Vice Chairman Sun with a gift on behalf of North Carolina business. Afterward, the visitors from SIP toured the University of North Carolina campus in Chapel Hill, N.C., as well as the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where they met several department heads including Dean James W. Dean Jr.

Longistics has been working with SIP to promote U.S and North Carolina business in the Chinese market for several years. The organization believes that companies can safely expand their business in China through SIP, and that such growth will result in jobs for Americans due to increased exports and trade.
