Your Time Publishing, LLC to Sponsor Book Reading and Signing to Benefit Local Library

New Orleans, LA, October 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Your Time Publishing, LLC and Alvar Branch Library have joined to present a book reading by New Orleans native Paulette Jones. October 23, 2010 at 3pm, 913 Alvar St, New Orleans 70117, She will be reading from her novel HerStory: Revelations. A portion of all sales will go to Alvar Branch Library which is still recovering from Hurricane Katrina. The story starts out in the bayous of the Mississippi river and end in the city of New Orleans. The novel travels the streets of New Orleans, slowing down only to mention local landmarks, and some of the local foods. This is a story about a family, who struggles with bouts of confusion, depression, and anger, but focuses on how a mother’s story intertwines ever so tightly with her daughter’s story that the daughter experiences the same emotional distress as her mother. With the help of a wise old woman, the daughter tries to learn how to separate her mother’s issues from her own. Can she eventually stop the destructive behavior by working through the layers of problems and realize that the negative behavior will rob her and her children of a peaceful and sane life if she does not change? Follow the twist and turns of this debut novel to a place few of us can even fathom.
