NC State Jenkins MBA Team Wins Second Place at National Association of Women MBA’s Case Competition

Team Places in National Real-World Business Challenge for Second Consecutive Year

Raleigh, NC, October 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The NC State Jenkins MBA program (http://mgt.ncsu.edu/mba/) has announced that its case team earned second place at the National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA) Case Competition. The Jenkins MBA team, which consisted of Debranetta Gethers, Wei Gu, Stacie Nagy and Mansi Shah, participated in the competition against six other teams at the NAWMBA 2010 National Conference, which took place Sept. 30 through Oct. 2 in Louisville, Ky. With a theme of “Global Economy, Global Leadership,” the NAWMBA 2010 National Conference was designed to assist women, both students and professionals, as they develop and enhance their leadership skills.

The NAWMBA Case Competition brought together MBA teams of the nation’s most promising female business minds from across the country to solve a real-world business challenge. During the competition, teams had 15 minutes to present their case analysis to the judging panel and a live audience, followed by about five minutes of questions from the judges.

- NC State Jenkins MBA was one of seven competing teams. Other schools represented were Georgia Tech, University of Houston, University of Wisconsin- Madison, University of Minnesota, Lehigh University and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

- The case competition was sponsored by The Home Depot. The first place team received $3,000; the second place team received $2,000; and the third place team received $1,000.
